♟️ MY TURN:
It’s the end of the year and I'm tucked away by a fire in Arizona after a long week of Christmas and Hanukkah activities (we have a blended house now!).
My kids are off with their dad for their winter break this year so I wanted to take some time to share a few of the questions I’m journaling against as I wind down the year.
I'm so thankful for the year we've had together.
We are building a life of ANDs not ORs.
We are creating an anti-hustle culture movement.
And we are taking back control, freedom and joy in our lives.
I'm so thankful for you.
See you in 2025.
XO

♟️ YOUR TURN:
Here are a few questions I will be journaling against over the holiday break.
Question #1: If I were to live this year over again in 2025, would I be closer or further from my goals?
If you haven’t done the infamous Chat GPT perfect day yet, this is your sign to try it.
tell me a story of the day in my life as my future self who already has it all based on this description: "insert note about what your ideal life would look like”

Then i said “give me a detailed day to day schedule of exactly how to achieve this”.
Grab some tissues. Mine made me a bit emotional.
Question #2: Am I boat or a dock?
My therapist gave me this analogy and it stuck with me.
Picture a boat floating in the water with no anchor. It drifts around….. and around..… until an anchored boat invites it over. So the anchorless boat ties up and joins the party and people.
Then the party ends.
So they untie the boat and it drifts away.
The anchorless boat sees another group of boats. It drifts over and gets tied to one of them….joining those people until they decide they are done and untie it.
And the anchorless boat drifts away again…..waiting to see who it can anchor itself to.
This is what it feels like to navigate life without a defined set of core values.
Core values act as a filter for:
Relationships
Opportunities
Personal brand
Content creation
Decision making
Without core values, every passing thing can pull you in, creating a false sense of safety and stability for a short time.
Growth requires you to be a dock, not a boat.
A dock is a person with a defined set of values that pulls in people and opportunities.
It’s stable.
Others come to it.
When I think about the past year, in what areas was I a dock and in which areas was I an anchorless boat?
What values do I need to set to ensure I don’t keep waiting for others to influence and anchor me?

Question #3: What did I say I was going to and didn't?
People overestimate what they can do in a day and underestimate what they can do in a year.
Our days become a string of "just get through" and, all of a sudden, we find ourselves months later and still not where we said we wanted to be.
It's time to identify these things and start to dig deeper.
- What held you back?
- What limiting beliefs are you holding on to?
Awareness is the greatest agent of change.
You are now ready to break through and level up in 2025.
