LIFECYCLE > LIFESTYLE

Quick Spin:

  • Why hustle culture isn't the enemy
  • The difference between life cycles vs. lifestyles
  • 3 Ways I'm hustling differently

PS If you are wanting to learn how to have it all....but not do it all....I'm leading a 1 hour delegation workshop on September 18th at 1pm in partnership with Athena (where I found my amazing EA). Sign up here!

♟️ MY TURN:

The next few months of my life are going to look a lot like hustle.

Book tour.
Events.
A lot of airplanes.
TV Interviews.
Podcasts.

TOXIC GRIT hits shelves October 21st, and I’m giving this my all.

If you've followed me for a while, you might be thinking...

“Wait…..aren’t you the anti-hustle person?”

Yes.

And here’s the thing most people get wrong about ambition:

It’s not about how hard you’re working.

It’s about why you’re working hard.

This season comes after a stretch of deep rest and recalibration.

My last year has been season of routine, boundaries, and being ok growing roots rather than blooming bright for all the see.

(It's funny how we forget that mother nature itself has lifecycles but expect ourselves to bloom year-round)

But now......I'm ready to bloom.

It’s time to push forward with intention.

And I’m doing so with 3 clear checks in place:

➡️ A defined timeline.

This season has a hard stop. Come December, I’ll reevaluate and rebalance.

This isn’t about hustle as a lifestyle….
this is a hustle as part of my lifecycle.

➡️ A conscious goal.

This push isn’t coming from a place of ego, insecurity, or needing external validation.

It’s driven by my mission to get this book and its frameworks into the hands of the people who need them.

Hustle culture comes from a place of insecurity. If I stop performing, no one will love me. (That’s my old programming and something I no longer use as fuel.)

But hustle as part of your life cycle is rooted in intention, purpose and mission.

➡️ Aligned communication.

I’ve sat down with my kids, my partner, my team, and my friends.

Everyone knows what this season looks like and how I’ll still show up in the ways that matter most.

I will be home every weekend to be with the kids.

My partner will travel with me as much as our co-parenting schedule allows.

Dan is picking up a lot of the cognitive load at home, so I can do this.

♟️ YOUR TURN:

This is the messy middle we need to talk about.

- It’s not girlboss OR tradwife.
- It’s not hustle culture or quiet quitting.
- It’s not ambition or contentment.

We are choosing to push in cycles, not in a constant marathon with a moving finish line.

It’s an ambition with intention.
Drive with boundaries.
Choosing Life cycles over chasing lifestyles.

This is exactly what TOXIC GRIT is about.

We can have it all - just not all at once.

PS I’m sharing a LOT of BTS of the book launch on my IG. Follow me there and see below for some upcoming book tour events!!

I saw this quote on IG from @iamnatalie and thought I'd share...

And let this be permission to pick your season.

Thank you for reading!

I appreciate you so so much!

XO
Amanda
